The Alpacas

Faraway Grace

Image

Gracie is mum to Pillow Talk and Grandma to Bibi. She is very affectionate if she is not pregnant and loves you to sit down with her and give her a neck rub.

She will happily rest her neck on your legs. She is a Suri Alpaca. Grace gave birth to our first ever Cria in May last year, she went 6 weeks overdue and her son is Nik Nak.

Pillow Talk

Image

Pillow Talk is a young Suri female, turning 3 this year and she is Gracie’s daughter and had her own baby ‘Bibi’ in July 2022.

Pillow Talk is feisty but friendly and loves interacting on her own terms. She was named after a Charlotte Tilbury lipstick

Bibi

Image

Bibi was awarded Champion Grey Suri Female at the Somerset County Show. This was her first show and our first show so we were delighted with this result. We are excited to see if she produces cria that are as beautiful as she is.

Bibi was the second baby born at Chapel Ground Alpaca’s in July 2022. She is Pillow Talk’s first Cria and is a beautiful grey coloured Suri Alpaca.

We are hoping to show her next year at the North Somerset Show. She adores carrots and handfeeding. She has been named using our Bond theme and she is madly in love with Mr Silver.

Domino

Image

Domino is 2 years old and is a female Huacaya. She is a superstar, she is very gentle and friendly. She is always people’s favourite.

We took her back from Devon in the back of the car and got a few strange looks travelling up the M5. Again Domino is named following our Bond theme.

Kira

Image

Kira is a dark brown Suri female. She is mum to Silver tail and our most recent addition to the females.

She already knows Gracie so she has settled in straight away. If she sees you with a hose pipe she will do a little dance to get you to hose her down to cool off.

Ivy May

Image

Ivy May is one of our original 3 girls. She is a Huacaya and best friends with Cover Girl and April Showers.

Ivy May is pregnant and due in July this year. She is one of the most timid girls but she will take carrots by hand.

Cover Girl

Image

Cover Girl is again one of our original three. She is a keen lover of water and spends most of her time in our special alpaca paddling pool.

She is bossy and dominant over the others and tends to be a bit greedy. She is a Huacaya.

April Showers

Image

April Showers is our oldest girl, she will be 20 next year. April was originally imported from Australia.

She is Nick’s favourite girl. She is very friendly and loves to come and hand feed. She is also a Huacaya.

Kananga

Image

Kananga is Black Male Huacaya. He is best friends with Scaramanga, Odd Job and Hugo. He came from Devon at the start of 2023 and has settled in well to life in Cleeve.

He is not particularly friendly with people but he will enjoy a nice life with his friends being watched from afar. He is named following our Bond theme.

Scaramanga

Image

Scaramanga is a bit of a drama queen, he is naturally inquisitive but does not like to be touched.

He is a play fighter and likes to frolic with his friends. Again he is a Huacaya we believe to be around 6 years old. He is also named following our Bond theme.

Hugo Drax

Image

Hugo Drax is a handsome boy, he is the most friendly of the Devon boys and we are trying to work with him to hand feed.

Again he is 6 years old and very inquisitive, he loves to chill around the fence line to our neighbours property. Another boy following with the Bond theme.

Odd Job

Image

Odd Job is a funny boy, definitely goofy and very spitty. I can just innocently walk by and he will air spit at me for no reason.

He is all hot air and no substance!!! Another drama queen and named using the Bond theme. He has quirky teeth meaning he does some great selfies.

Nik Nak

Image

Nik Nak is our first born Suri boy. Son of Gracie and looking to be our lead walking boy. He knows his name and he comes running when I go to feed him with the other boys.

He is showing signs of being a fabulous walking boy and is very affectionate. He is also named using the Bond theme.

Inky

Image

Inky is our black Suri boy. He is a minx and he is a jumper. He tried to jump the hurdles and is often caught pondering the fence line.

He is very handsome and also shows great walking potential.

Gravity

Image

Gravity was awarded Reserve Brown Male Suri Champion at the Somerset Show. This was his first show and ours alongside Bibi. He has a beautiful fleece and stunning colouring.

Gravity has been with Inky and Nik Nak up the road from the beginning but a reluctant walker who thinks nothing of cushing in the middle of the road, hopefully Nik Nak and Inky will show him the way.

Mr Silver

Image

Mr Silver is Kira’s son, our youngest boy and an absolute legend. He loves being hosed down and he will chase you for food. He is an absolute character and madly in love with Bibi.

A beautiful Suri boy who will soon join Nik Nak and the boys. He was formerly called Silvertail but we have adapted this to Mr Silver to follow the Bond theme.

Felix

Felix
Felix was born to Ivy May on the 28th July 2023. He is a gorgeous light fawn boy with dark features from his black dad. He is curious, confident and full of energy. He likes to hand feed and give kisses. He always welcomes seeing any visitors and is destined to join our walking boys. We will be using all our knowledge from the Camelidynamics course to halter train him and teach him to walk.

ZORIN

Image
Zorin is a stunning Suri Fawn Male with a striking white face. He is very friendly and the easiest boy to walk and handle. He has responded well to all the Camelid Dynamics handling techniques and enjoys the obstacle course.

MOONRAKER

Image
Moonraker is a sweet Suri Male who was awarded first place at The Ellingham & Ringwood County Show in the Modern Grey Suri Male category. He is an excellent walker and has a great temperament.
